The Euchre Bustle

The following is a debriefing of the 7th Annual, International Broomball Wizards, Natty Bumppo Euchre Bustle Championship.

At 3:30am on Sunday morning, the Natty Bumppo Euchre Bustle Champion was concluded. The 2009 champions are: Boze (winner of 23 games), and aCe (winner of 20 games). Congratulations gentlemen!

We broke new territory at the seventh IBW Natty Bumppo Euchre Bustle Championship.

As significant as the outcome itself - was the awareness of the culturally entertaining aspect of time spent playing euchre.  The lucky bid, mis-played card & game chatter were all opportunities to have fun and make fun.

Euchre was a nice option during the Saturday rainfall & always an evening favorite.

Webster defines the word “Bustle” as: (n), noisy, energetic, and often obtrusive activity.  

Back to the Bustle Board:
      • The Bustle was decided in 46 games, or 92 stars
      • We had 100% of the participants play [Euchre Bustle record]
      • Boze, the perennial second place finisher finally won the bustle with 23 stars
      • aCe took second with 20 stars
      • Combined, the champs won with 46% of the stars on the board
      • During the 7th Bustle, Joe won his first game of Euchre!
      • Prizes: Boze/aCe - Acacia brooms & Fleece blankets (donated by Carl), PJ – Guinness glasses, to the rest of the contestants: gold-rimmed beer glasses (donated by Woody), sports bottles (donated by Carl) & Bay Rum   both walked away with a Vine Park Brewery glass &
